Château de la Terrière Beaujolais-Villages Vieilles Vignes
The Château de la Terrière is a dreamy property in the heart of Beaujolais (think Escape to the Château) facing Mount Brouilly – one of the oldest estates in the region. Despite their tradition they are also one of the most pioneering wineries in Beaujolais being the first estate to grow Pinot Noir in a Beaujolais district and more recently introducing natural wines into their range.
$30.00
Whilst officially labelled a Beaujolais-Villages, this wine actually comes from a single vineyard site in Régnié, one of the ten Beaujolais Cru districts, meaning it is a Cru level wine – there is a lot going on here for your money. It’s traditional, great quality Beaujolais with plenty of dark red fruit flavours (think black cherry and wild strawberry), spicy notes and crunchy acidity. We recommend slightly chilling the wine to enjoy it at its absolute best.
