Domaine Alban Roblin is located in the very heart of Sancerre, in the beautiful village of Sury-en-Vaux. This is an area renowned for its Terres Blanches terroir and intensely aromatic wines. Alban is one of our young gun winemakers who started working the 12 hectares of family vineyards in 2010 alongside his parents. He has a profound respect for the land and for maintaining the sublime quality of their wines.

We don’t see much Sancerre Rosé here in Australia – not nearly enough in our opinion. This is a delicious Pinot Noir based Rosé with great finesse- dry and crisp, with good complexity. Coral in colour, it is luminous in the glass, exhibiting aromas of pink grapefruit. As the wine breathes it exudes notes of wild strawberry and just a hint of licquorice and pepper. On the palate it has an intense freshness brought about by citrus notes and a distinct minerality balancing the fresh fruit notes. It cries out to be enjoyed with cold meats and terrines, or just as a sophisticated aperitif.
