Flaxman ‘Paladin’ Shiraz
Colin ‘Col’ Shepard knows how to cook – some of you may recall he got deep into the Australian Masterchef competition a few years back – but he’s also a very talented winemaker, producing ultra small parcels of classic Barossa styles (his Semillon tops out at a massive 30 dozen per year!). From the high country of Eden Valley, Col is able to achieve great elegance to his reds and freshness to his whites – always a favourite with the local wine scribes. We love his wines and are thrilled to be able to share them.
Lovely fruit integrated with soft older oak, hints of classic Eden Valley/Barossa spice and touches of cracked pepper. It’s an easy drinking style to compliment a variety of dishes – versatile and affordable.
