Warramunda Estate is located in the very prestigious Coldstream district of the Yarra Valley – originally known as Warramunda Station it operated as a sheep and cattle stud until the late 1990s, when its incredible potential as a vineyard site was recognised. Owned by the Magdziarz family – veterans of the Melbourne hospitality scene, the estate is now producing exceptional wines at some very reasonable prices compared to its neighbours.

While we know our customers are partial to those big, heavy reds, this is a Syrah with great elegance and poise, more in keeping with classic old world examples. It is plush and smooth, without the heaviness on the palate, packed with red fruit flavours, pepper, spice and earthiness, even a touch of perfumed rose. Tannins are silky smooth, perfectly balancing the medium body – a seriously graceful wine to be enjoyed with almost anything. We strongly urge you to give it a try – you’ll never look back!
