Abtole Rioja Crianza
For good everyday drinking wine it is very hard to go past a cheeky little Rioja – and we think the Abtole wines are a perfect example of why this style delivers such great bang for buck. With their moreish fruit flavours, smooth body and vanilla oak, they really are the full package. The name Abtole derives from the medieval name for the Rioja town Autol, home to Bodegas Marques de Reinosa who makes this remarkable value range of wines.

This juicy little number has delicious ripe black cherry and plum notes, with hints of tobacco and earthiness that add depth and complexity to the wine. On the palate it is smooth and medium bodied, with soft vanilla oak complementing the primary fruit flavours. Far too easy to drink and just as good with or without food.
