Artigiano Rosato

Although French Rosé is all the rage at the moment, if you like a dry, savoury style with lots of flavour, this beautiful Italian Rosato delivers outstanding value for money. In the glass it displays an enticing salmon colour with hints of coral, while on the nose it opens up with fresh fruit aromas of redcurrant and raspberry, and delicate floral notes. These delicious flavours continue through to the palate, which is crisp, dry and aromatic with well-balanced acidity and a refreshing finish. Pairs beautifully with all seafood, in particular crustaceans.

Native to Italy’s Puglia region, Negroamaro is thought to have been grown in the region for some 1500 years, and competes with Primitivo for recognition as its most important variety. It is a dark skinned grape that for many years was used to add colour and palate weight to the well-known wines of Northern Italy, but has emerged in its own right in recent decades, celebrated for its hearty and rustic, rich flavours.
