Bass Line Shiraz
Made by our good mate Stuey Bourne, the Bass Line wines showcase his incredible knowledge of the Barossa Valley – the subtlest nuance of each district and grower. Beautifully balanced and not overpowering, they are a great tribute to our favourite region!
This beautifully balanced Shiraz exudes lifted and perfumed notes of fresh red fruit, together with a hint of toasty oak character. on the palate it is full-bodied yet elegant, exuding the classic depth and vibrant fruit flavours so characteristic of the Barossa, without the excessive palate weight.
Stuey Bourne, Barossa Winemaker of the Year 2020, uses his unique knowledge and relationships to source parcels of Shiraz fruit from 6 different vineyard sites around the Barossa Valley, and finishes the wine with just a smidge of fruit from the Adelaide Hills to enhance the elegance and structure of the wine. Made using traditional techniques, it is matured for 20 months in a combination of French puncheons and hogsheads (15% new) before bottling.
