We have long been enthusiastic about the wines of Emilia-Romagna as being an outstanding alternative to more famous Sangiovese from Chianti. Why? They have a richness and roundness that is not often achieved in Chianti, and this combined with lower acidity, makes these wines far easier to drink, particularly when enjoying without food. The wines of Poderi dal Nespoli are a terrific example of this, with both depth of flavour and sheer drinkability, made with great respect for the land and traditions of the region. A delicious, dry, seriously easy-drinking white, with intense tropical fruit flavours, ripe citrus and a hint of jasmine. The Chardonnay adds depth and roundness to the palate while the Trebbiano complements it with its lift and perfume. This wine is the perfect partner to pan Asian cuisine, and in particular shellfish dishes with chilli and ginger.
