Rojomoma ‘Raj’s Pick’ Shiraz

Barossa Valley, Australia

Bernie and Sam have a lovely partnership and their micro-winery produces a few hundred dozen cases only each year of quality varietals from some seriously old vines (some dating back to the 1880’s).  Sam is a sixth generation Barossan, and for many years was the chief red winemaker at Orlando, overseeing the production of many world-famous brands including St Hugo and Wyndham Estate. Both Bernie and Sam are very creative souls and nowhere is this more evident than on their labels, which feature Bernie’s own incredible photography. Next time you find yourself in the Barossa make an appointment and go and take a look – her artwork is displayed all around the winery.

The Raj’s Pick Shiraz is named after Sam and Bernie’s son Raj and is only made in exceptional years with a tiny production of only 30 cases! Presented in a beautifully printed single bottle gift box, it is made from the best of the best Shiraz from across the vineyard – only the most concentrated, intensely flavoured fruit makes the cut. Aged in premium French oak it is beautifully balanced and will continue to develop and improve for many years to come. We recommend decanting upon opening to allow its flavours to unfurl.
