Torbreck Woodcutter’s Rosé
Ah Torbreck – what can we say that hasn’t already been said? One of the absolute superstars of the Barossa, Torbreck raises the bar for the region year after year, and shows no sign of slowing down. It is our pleasure to work closely with the brand up here in Queensland and to share their magnificent wines with you.

Is it ok to say this is one of our very favourite Australian Rosés? Put it this way, it’s certainly the one we drink the most often – it’s rare you’ll open our fridge and not find a perfectly chilled bottle waiting. And why? It’s just a crackingly good wine – it’s bone dry, with all the gorgeous fruity and floral aromas you’d expect from a good Provence Rose. But here’s the clever thing – a small portion of the wine is aged in older French barrels – not to give the wine any sort of oak flavour (it doesn’t, we promise), but to soften the acidity and add some deliciously savoury characteristics, so what you end up with is an elegant and beautifully balanced wine, without the overtly acidic finish. Delicious to drink on its own but also excellent with food – Ian ,we salute you!
