Two Hands ‘Hell Freezes Over’ Chardonnay
Two Hands is one of the great recent success stories of the Barossa. They feature more times on the Barossa Super 100 classification than any other winery, with a whopping eight wines making the cut – not a bad result for a winery that has only been around since 2000. With the vast majority of their production exported across the world they are rarely seen and enjoyed here in Australia, so we are delighted that we are able to share these wines with you.

Premium Chardonnay is not something we generally associate with the Barossa (outside of the Eden Valley that is to say), so was never on the radar for Two Hands to produce – when hell freezes over summed up their view on the matter. However, a call from a winegrower friend in the Adelaide Hills brought about a change of heart, when he advised owner Michael Twelftree that he had acquired one of the best vineyards in the Hills and asked him to come and take a look…
The Hell Freezes Over Chardonnay is made in tiny quantities and is generally only available at the winery cellar door. It’s a rich, complex wine with beautiful packaging to match. Ripe orchard fruit flavours and nutty notes are underpinned by serious structure delivered by its time in premium French oak, delivery a satisfyingly full mouthfeel.
